IFR procedures
- CAT A/B IGS (NPA) RWY 27 instrument arrival procedure can be performed only by Operators authorized by Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC).
- The request of authorization shall be forwarded to Enac by means of the Aerodrome AVDA s.p.a.
- Documentation containing the details referring to the operative procedures, familiarization, training and qualification of the pilot in command necessary to obtain the required ENAC authorization is available, on request, on the Aerodrome Operator AVDA s.p.a.
- Documentation listed above is valid also for State flight operators with the exclusion of the authorization given by ENAC

VFR procedures
All VFR traffic , intending to fly in the vicinity of the instrument approach procedure paths, shall establish radio contact with the appropriate ATS unit (Milano FIC/AAC, Aosta AFIU) in order to obtain information about the possible presence of aircraft performing the instrumental approach procedure and shall keep out the way of such aircraft with reference to the published procedure path, including missed approach.- Departure

- No VFR departure is alowed once the aircraft performing the instrument approach has reported:
- SVC NDB if the approaching aircraft is a twin engine
- D9 IAOS if the approaching aircraft is a single engine
- Only for helicopter traffic of home based operators departures are allowed also when the instrument approach is active, in compliance with the following flight specifications:
- EASTBOUND traffic:
Maintain SOUTH side of the Valley (orographic right side) without interfering with the instrument procedure paths - EASTBOUND traffic:
Maintain NORTH side of the Valley (orographic left side) without interfering with the instrument procedure paths.
- EASTBOUND traffic:

In order to provide Flight Information Service, the possible intention to follow an outbound flight path other than above specified ones, shall be communicated in advance by radio to Aosta AFIU.
When the instrument approach procedure is active, in order to keep other aircraft clear of the runaway strip, the only usable runaway holding position is the Holding Position E (see AD 2 LIMW 2-1).
- No VFR departure is alowed once the aircraft performing the instrument approach has reported:

- VRF traffic inbound from the EAST:
- mandatory radio contact beyond the VRP Ivrea (LEW1). For that taffic IVREA (LEW1) shall be considered as a mandatory reporting point on Milano FIC/ACC radio frequency
- mandatory radio contact beyond the VRP SCOPELLO (MMNW5) on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequence.
- VRF traffic inbound from the WEST:
- mandatory radio contact beyond the VRP LA SALLE (MMNW1) on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequence.
- VRF traffic inbound from the NORTH:
- mandatory radio contact beyond the VRP GRAN SAN BERNARDO (MMNW2), on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequence.
- VRF traffic inbound from the NORTH-EAST
- mandatory radio contact beyond the VRP CERVINIA (MMNW3), on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequence.
- VRF traffic inbound from the EAST:

- Overflying VFR coming from the EAST:
- mandatory radio contact beyond VRP IVREA (LEW1), on Milano FIC/ACC. For that traffic IVREA (LEW1) shall be considered as a mandatory reporting point on Milano FIC/ACC radio frequency.
- mandatory radio contact beyond VRP SCOPELLO (MMNW5) on Milano FIC/ACC.
- Overflying VFR coming from the EAST:
- mandatory radio contact beyond LA SALLE (MMNW1), on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequency.
- Overflying VFR coming from the NORTH:
- mandatory radio contact beyond VRP GRAN SAN BERNARDO (MMNW2), on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequency.
- Overflying VFR coming from the NORTH-EAST:
- mandatory radio contact beyond VRP CERVINIA (MMNW3), on Milano FIC/ACC or Aosta AFIU radio frequency.
Any traffic departing from the area defined by the above mentioned VFR, shall establish radio contact with Milano FIC o Aosta AFIU as soon as posssible.
- Overflying VFR coming from the EAST:

Glider activities landing procedures
All glider pilots are going to land must make the following radio calls:
- For RWY 09
- Report before entering the airport traffic circuit pattern and proceed to the "PRENOTAZIONE POINT"
- Report when in "PRENOTAZIONE POINT" at 400m to the verticalof the town of Pollein (South-West of THR09)
- Report when starting procedure at 300m before overflying the field
- Normal circuit calls
- For RWY 27
- Report before entering the airport traffic circuit pattern and proceed to the "PRENOTAZIONE POINT"
- Report when in "PRENOTAZIONE POINT" abeam north of the TWR building
- Report when starting procedure at 300m before overflying the field
- Normal circuit calls
